MINTO COMMUNITIES AND VILLAS BY THE SEA HOST BROWARD MASTER BROKERS FORUM DINNER AND PANEL DISCUSSION
LAUDERDALE-BY-THE-SEA, FL -- August 7, 2008 – The Broward Master Brokers Forum (MBF), an organization comprised of South Florida’s top residential real estate agents, recently presented an extraordinary panel discussion on “International Investment in South Florida Real Estate”. This event was sponsored by Minto’s Villas By The Sea, an oceanside village in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, which hosted a cocktail reception for the Master Brokers at the community’s sales center. Later, the approximately 125 guests were chauffeured to the Blue Moon Fish Company for the panel discussion and dinner.
Darcie Lunsford, real estate editor for the South Florida Business Journal, moderated the discussion, which featured expert panelists Rich Campanella, president of Wachovia Mortgage/The Campanella Group; Teresa K. Kinney, CEO of the Realtor Association of Greater Miami & the Beaches; John Pinson, president, John D. Pinson, Inc. and past president of FIABCI-USA (the International Real Estate Federation); and Aida Turbow, director of the New Homes Resort International Division, Prudential Florida WCI.
“The weak U.S. dollar and the fall in South Florida home prices have combined to create sensational opportunities for foreign buyers,” said Carolyn Block Ellert, chair of the Broward MBF. “These buyers often present unique and evolving challenges to even the most experienced real estate agents, and our members certainly benefitted from the combined wisdom of these esteemed panelists.”
